What Our Chairman Says ?
Hi, I am Anil Lama, passionately involved with Thangka art for the last 25 years. I firmly believe that thangka serves as a medium to develop inner qualities on the spiritual path. Being born in an indigenous Tamang family, I got a chance to witness various facts of thangka art from my early childhood. This led me to be deeply engrossed in thangka art to date. My enchantment with thangka art played the role of a catalyst in establishing the Boudha Stupa Thangka Centre. I feel immense pride in being a part of preserving the aesthetic value of thangka art. The symbols and messages of thangka art can be a medium of meditation tool to help bring one further down the path to enlightenment. This will eventually lead to world peace, harmony, and fraternity.
We believe that traditional art has to be preserved, and at the same time, it has to incorporate new techniques and crafts so as not to make it redundant. We run a school of thangka painting with the sole purpose of preserving the aesthetics of this traditional art. We have well-trained masters having in-depth experience in the field. Quality always comes at the forefront of our paintings. We blend creativity and traditional knowledge to make our paintings unique and artistic.
Our gallery has varieties of paintings. Each painting has its own hidden meaning and offers its own spiritual decorum. The thangka painting in our gallery depicts a myriad of different stories. We humbly request you all to visit our gallery and be a first-hand witness of intricate pieces of fine art. We promise that you will have a pleasant time here as we welcome you with our warm gesture and true hospitality. The tranquillity of mind and refreshment of the body is what you deserve.
